All Moony Flames products are handcrafted in small batches in Småland, Sweden. Transparency, quality and safety are at the heart of everything we do.

📦 Products

Yes. All Moony Flames scented candles and wax melts are handmade in our studio in Strömby, Småland, Sweden. Every product is poured, labelled and carefully packed by hand before it finds its new home.

Store your scented candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This helps preserve the fragrance, colour and overall quality. When the candle is not in use, we recommend keeping it covered with its lid.

Our scented candles are designed to provide a balanced and enjoyable fragrance experience. The scent strength depends on factors such as room size, airflow and the fragrance itself. Some scents are light and fresh, while others are warmer and more intense.

Our large scented candles (approximately 210 g) have a burn time of around 50–55 hours. Actual burn time may vary slightly depending on the fragrance, environment and how the candle is cared for.

Yes. Every scented candle is handmade in small batches in our studio in Småland, Sweden. From melting the wax and pouring each candle to labelling and packing, every step is carried out with great care.

Our scented candles and wax melts are handmade in Strömby, Småland, Sweden. We intentionally produce in small batches to ensure consistent quality and attention to detail.

Yes. All Moony Flames products are vegan and contain no animal-derived ingredients. Our scented candles are made from 100% Swedish soy wax, while our wax melts are made from a carefully selected blend of rapeseed and coconut wax.

Yes. Our products are cruelty-free. Neither our scented candles nor our wax melts are tested on animals.

We use 100% Swedish soy wax from AAK for our scented candles. It is Golden Wax EU464, which is ProTerra Certified, GMO-Free, and made from responsibly sourced soy. For our wax melts, we use a carefully selected blend of rapeseed and coconut wax.

🕯️Scented Candles

To help your handmade scented candle burn evenly, allow it to burn until the entire surface of the wax has melted to the edge of the container the first time you light it. This creates a full melt pool and helps prevent tunnelling, where wax remains around the sides of the jar.

All Moony Flames scented candles are handcrafted in Strömby, Småland, Sweden using 100% Swedish soy wax. When cared for correctly, they provide an even burn, excellent fragrance throw and a long burn time.

Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before every burn. A properly trimmed wick creates a steadier flame, reduces soot and helps your scented candle burn more evenly.

If the wick becomes too long, the flame may become larger than intended, causing the container to heat up and the wax to burn faster. Regular wick trimming extends the life of your candle while providing a cleaner and more enjoyable fragrance experience.

Tunnelling occurs when a candle burns down the centre while leaving wax around the edges of the container. This usually happens when the candle is extinguished before the entire surface has melted.

To prevent tunnelling, always allow your scented candle to burn until the full wax surface has melted, especially during the first few burns. This helps the candle burn evenly and makes the most of the wax.

We recommend burning your scented candle for 2–4 hours at a time. This allows the wax to melt evenly while providing the best fragrance performance.

Avoid burning your candle continuously for more than four hours. Allow it to cool completely before lighting it again to help maintain both the wick and the quality of the wax.

Yes. Once approximately 1 cm of wax remains, you should stop burning your candle. After cleaning the container, it can easily be reused.

Many of our customers reuse their candle jars to store jewellery, cotton pads, pens or other small items. Giving the jar a second life is a simple way to reduce waste while enjoying a beautiful container long after the candle has finished.

It is completely normal for the candle container to become warm or hot while your scented candle is burning. Heat from the flame is transferred through the wax and into the glass.

Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface and never move it while it is burning or while the container is still hot. Allow it to cool completely before handling it.

Yes. If your scented candle comes with a well-fitting lid, you can carefully place it on top of the container to extinguish the flame. This often creates less smoke than blowing the candle out.

Once the flame has gone out, remove the lid again to allow any remaining smoke and moisture to escape before replacing it for storage.

Stop using your scented candle when approximately 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom of the container. This helps prevent the glass from overheating and follows general candle safety recommendations.

Once the candle has finished, you can clean the container and reuse it or recycle the glass if you no longer need it.

🌿Wax Melts

Wax melts are scented pieces of wax without a wick that are designed to be melted in a wax warmer or oil burner. As the wax melts, it gradually releases fragrance throughout your home without the wax itself being exposed to an open flame.

Our wax melts are handcrafted in Strömby, Småland, Sweden using a carefully selected blend of rapeseed and coconut wax.

Simply place one wax melt into the dish of your wax warmer or oil burner. Then light a tealight underneath or use an electric wax warmer. As the wax melts, it slowly releases its fragrance and fills the room with scent.

Allow the wax to cool completely before removing it or changing to another fragrance.

No. Wax melts should always be used without water. Simply place the wax directly into the dish of your wax warmer or oil burner.

Adding water is not recommended and may affect how the product performs.

The fragrance duration depends on the scent, room temperature and how long you use it at a time. Our handmade wax melts typically provide fragrance for around 6–10 hours.

The wax itself does not disappear during use—the fragrance simply becomes weaker over time. Once the scent has faded, it's time to replace the wax with a new melt.

Allow the wax to cool completely before removing it. The easiest method is to warm the wax for a few seconds so it loosens from the bottom of the dish. You can then gently lift it out and wipe the warmer clean with paper before adding a new fragrance.

Yes. You can reuse the same wax melt until it no longer releases enough fragrance. The wax itself is not consumed during use—only the fragrance gradually fades.

Once the scent becomes too weak, simply replace it with a fresh wax melt.

Both scented candles and wax melts are designed to fragrance your home, but they work in different ways.

A scented candle contains a wick and burns directly inside its container. Wax melts are melted in a wax warmer or oil burner, making it easy to switch between different fragrances whenever you like.

The best choice depends on your personal preferences and how you enjoy scenting your home.

🎁Personalised Scented Candles

Our personalised scented candles allow you to create a candle with your own custom label. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, wedding, anniversary, baby shower, memorial or looking for a thoughtful gift, each candle is made especially for you.

Every personalised candle is handcrafted in Strömby, Småland, Sweden using the same care and attention to detail as every Moony Flames product.

In most cases, yes. You can personalise your label with names, dates, meaningful messages or short greetings.

However, we reserve the right to refuse text that is offensive, discriminatory or violates applicable laws. This helps ensure that every personalised candle reflects the values of Moony Flames.

Because every personalised scented candle is made to order, our normal processing time is 1–3 business days.

Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information so you can follow your parcel all the way to your door.

Yes. We create personalised scented candles for businesses, hotels, retail stores, corporate gifts and special events.

If you're looking for a custom solution or a quotation for a larger order, we'd be happy to help.

Yes. We gladly produce larger orders for weddings, corporate events, hotels, celebrations and other special occasions.

As every candle is handmade, we recommend placing larger orders well in advance to allow enough production time.

Yes. If requested, we'll send you a digital proof of your label before production begins. This gives you the opportunity to review the text and layout before your personalised candle is made.

We want you to be completely happy with the final result.

Because personalised scented candles are made specifically for you, they are not covered by the standard right of withdrawal.

However, if your candle arrives damaged or there is a manufacturing defect, we'll of course help you resolve the issue. Please contact us as soon as possible and include photos of the product along with your order number.

🛡️SAFETY & CLP

CLP stands for Classification, Labelling and Packaging. It is the European regulation governing how chemical substances and mixtures are classified, labelled and packaged.

For scented candles and wax melts, a CLP label tells you whether a product contains ingredients that may, for example, cause an allergic reaction. A CLP label does not mean that the product is unsafe when used correctly. Instead, it ensures that you receive clear and transparent information in accordance with EU legislation.

Some fragrance oils contain ingredients that must legally be declared under European regulations. This is why certain scented candles and wax melts carry a CLP label.

The purpose of the label is to provide transparent information about ingredients and potential allergens. It shows that the product complies with current EU legislation and has been labelled correctly.

Yes. Our fragrance oils come from established suppliers and comply with the recommendations of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) as well as current European legislation.

All fragrance oils are used only within the recommended usage levels for scented candles and wax melts to ensure safe and enjoyable use.

Yes. Synthetic fragrance oils are not automatically less safe than natural fragrance oils. In fact, many natural essential oils and synthetic fragrance ingredients consist of exactly the same fragrance molecules.

What matters is not whether a fragrance ingredient is natural or synthetic, but whether it has been properly evaluated and is used according to current safety guidelines. That's why we only use fragrance oils specifically developed for scented candles and wax melts that comply with European regulations.

This statement is required by law when a product contains specific fragrance ingredients that may trigger allergic skin reactions in sensitive individuals.

It does not mean that most people will experience a reaction. The warning is intended to help people with known fragrance allergies make informed purchasing decisions.

Yes. Our scented candles are made using carefully selected ingredients and comply with current European legislation.

For safe use, we recommend always placing your candle on a heat-resistant surface, trimming the wick to approximately 5 mm before each burn and never leaving a burning candle unattended. When used as recommended, our handcrafted scented candles provide a safe and enjoyable fragrance experience.

Unfortunately, there is no simple answer. Both natural and synthetic fragrance ingredients may contain allergens.

On every product page, you'll find information about the allergens contained in that specific product, allowing you to review the ingredients before placing your order.

We only use fragrance oils specifically developed for scented candles and always use them within the recommended usage levels according to IFRA guidelines and European legislation.

European legislation requires certain fragrance allergens to be listed on CLP labels when they exceed specified thresholds.

Most orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days. During busy periods or product launches, processing times may occasionally be slightly longer.

We pack and ship orders as quickly as possible. Most orders are prepared by the next business day and are normally dispatched within 1–3 business days.

Within Sweden, we primarily ship with PostNord. For international orders, we choose the carrier best suited for the destination country.

This allows us to provide reliable delivery across several European countries.

Yes. Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation by email including your tracking information.

This allows you to follow your parcel from our studio in Småland all the way to your delivery address.

The available shipping destinations and applicable shipping costs are always displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase

Shipping costs depend on the destination country and are calculated automatically at checkout.

Before completing your order, you'll always see all available shipping options and costs clearly displayed.

As soon as your order has been packed and shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation at the email address you provided when placing your order.

The confirmation includes your order details and, where available, a tracking link so you can follow your parcel.

↩️ RETURNS & RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

If you'd like to return an item, you can easily register your return through our customer portal. There you'll also find all the information you need about the return process and can manage your return.

The item must be unused and returned in its original condition. For complete return instructions and terms, please visit our Shipping & Returns page.

If you are a consumer within the European Union, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The withdrawal period begins on the day you receive your order.

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us within this period.

Yes. You can cancel your order yourself through the customer portal within one hour of placing it. As long as your order has not yet been processed, you may also contact us directly.

If your order has already been shipped, the standard right of withdrawal and our returns policy will apply instead.

Because personalised scented candles are made specifically to your requirements, they are not covered by the standard right of withdrawal.

However, if your order arrives damaged or there is a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll always do our best to find a fair solution.

Unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or shipping damage, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service to ensure your parcel reaches us safely.

If a parcel is not collected within the carrier's holding period and is returned to us, we reserve the right to charge the actual costs incurred for return shipping and handling.

If you still wish to receive your order, we'll be happy to arrange a new shipment.

Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we'll process your refund as quickly as possible.

The refund will be issued using the same payment method you used when placing your order, unless otherwise agreed.
